Unsuccessful byelaw proposal

As of 30th August 2024 there is one ‘preferred parking location’ inside Tower Gardens Estate near the bike locker at 104 Tower Gardens Rd, London N17 7QB. There are ‘preferred parking locations’ for dockless bikes at the junction of Lordship Lane and The Roundway (west arm), on Lordship Lane near the junction with Bennigton Road, and near the shops at 268-274 The Roundway.
There are no mandatory parking locations on the estate.
The most up-to-date map of parking locations will be in the Lime app (you can sign up without giving payment details but you need to skip those screens), rather than the council’s maps.
It’s best to report obstructively parked bikes to Lime via email support@li.me. Email seems to be the most reliable way to get a response and you get a record of what you sent. You need to provide the bike ID number, photo and the full address including city and postcode, otherwise Lime customer services won’t log the report and will just ask you for more information.
The bikes are very heavy so be careful if you need to move one.
If you need to escalate an issue, you can also contact the Transport Planning team at Haringey Council:
Email: DocklessBikes@haringey.gov.uk
Send the Transport Planning team examples where Lime don’t move an obstructive bike, information about any locations that have regular problems, and the most serious examples of obstructive parking.
You can also add comments to the Commonplace map to suggest a location that needs a preferred or mandatory parking place: https://haringeydocklessbikes.commonplace.is/
